About me
Silvia Johnston, Principal Consultant
I bridge the gap between complex business operations and high-performance people strategy — and I’ve spent over 20 years proving that the two are inseparable.

My career spans banking, healthcare, and academia, including nearly two decades as a Senior Vice President at M&T Bank and a senior OD role at Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. Across highly regulated, high-stakes environments, I’ve led the human side of the hardest work organizations face: mergers, system conversions, culture change, and performance transformation.

At Lemon Trees Consulting, I don’t come in to overhaul what’s working. I come in to understand your business deeply, honor your existing strengths, and build from there. My approach blends the rigor of financial risk management with the human-centered frameworks, combining data and story, strategy and empathy.

I also teach Performance Management and HR at the University at Buffalo’s School of Management, and have practical background in utilizing PROSCI Change Management, Lean Six Sigma Principles and various behavioral science frameworks. ​

What I’ve learned is that humans are humans everywhere. When people feel heard, communication is clear, and leaders model the behavior they expect — almost any change is possible.
